Tunji has worked as Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Emergency Medicine at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust London since 2002. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

Tunji’s interest in Medical Education led to him being appointed Director of Medical Education for King’ College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2005; overseeing the training and education of thousands of Medical Students and Doctors-in-postgraduate training for the last 20 years. Tunji holds a Master Degree in Medical Education; and has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Tunji’s other area of interest is in Leadership and Management. He led the King’s Emergency Department as Clinical Lead from 2005-2011. He went on to serve as Assistant Medical Director for King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust between 2011 and 2016. He became a Chartered Manager, and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute UK on completion of his MBA in 2020.
